Kayaking offers a unique blend of relaxation and motivation, providing an opportunity to connect with nature while staying active. In Edmonton, the limited number of lakes led me to explore alternative options.

Pigeon Lake emerged as a captivating choice, known for its picturesque setting but also notable for its abundance of vegetation. Curious to know wether that was actually healthy for the lake, I decided to look into it.

To address environmental concerns and assess water quality, I partnered with a local environmental organization. Together, we conducted tests to measure the lake’s health and to understand the impact of excessive vegetation on water quality and aquatic life.
